22nd August 2011

12 months after launching their fundraising for MRDF, Bixley Ramblers held another Garden Party, this time in the open air overlooking the Stour Estuary. Tea and cakes in warm sunshine were just perfect and all who attended had an enjoyable afternoon.

Why not have your own fundraising event, before what is left of our summer is over and help to raise money for MRDF

mountains4money reaches the first major milestone with over 100 summits climbed. Planning is now underway for the next visit in June when I hope to meet fellow Methodists from Cumbria District. An article on the front page of the Methodist Recorder (12th May) will hopefully inspire more churches to support this project and help reach the £60,000 target.
